This Is Our Story & An Anniversary

Well, Brie and Jack have made it 6 months now! Yay! She got him an Itunes gift card and click here to see what he got her!! Their anniversary is today actually, but he has to go to Lincoln State park with his family for a Mother's Day/Abraham Lincoln Celebration this whole weekend. They'll be playing civil war era music! So, the kids had 2 "dates," one on Wednesday and one yesterday. We picked him up from school and brought him back here for some dinner and TV time before we took him to Roberts Stadium for the "This Is Our Story" program. I think he had to play just about every song...lol. He's in Honors Band, Honors Orchestra, and his school's band of course, but I was confused by the program a little. There were a couple songs that were performed by the "Prep Band" and he played those as well, when he's clearly in Varsity...but whatever. It was such a good concert! I remember when I performed in it that it was just a big black hole of suck...according to my parents!

Here's Brie helping Jack with his tie! Isn't that sweet!!!

Last night, though, the Middle School Honors Band and Honors Orchestra did realllly well! The High School Honors Band and Honors Orchestra was really good, and don't get me started on the High School Jazz Ensemble, featuring MT's own Joe Anderson of "Behold the Seraph" fame! He rocked a major guitar solo!!

Jack, all ready for his concert!! Like the Jacket? LOL Yeah, we do, too. He left it at church this past Sunday and I retrieved it for him Monday afternoon and washed it. Then Brie wore it. We kept catching him smell it...lol.

And here is a crappy pic from the program. Can you pick Jack out of the crowd? Hint: he's exactly in the middle!! LOL See the thick, black hair and checkerboard jacket? Right behind him, not that you can see, is his and Brie's friend Maddie from church! Thought that was pretty cool that they ended up sitting by each other even though they go to different schools! It was a good night and the kids had fun. I tried to convince my other two to go to the program, but it was a no go. Oh well...we'll have fun at the Family Fun Night at church tonight...I hope!
