A Good Weekend...no...a GREAT weekend!

Ok, so this weekend was so amazingly wonderful! First, Saturday Joseph had a game...always fun, even though they lost! Then we came home and had a small Hands of Praise practice before Night Light! It went pretty well! Then, of course, was the show! We had 2 bands there and we, Hands of Praise, performed 5 songs. We had so much fun...I cannot tell you how much fun I had without also mentioning how exhausted I was. The first band was BLAMELESS BEFORE GOD, which was formed by a couple members of Erick's church's praise band, who rock anyway, but "Blameless" sooooo rocks! It's Christian metal and they were awesome!! Ken, the lead singer, gave a long message and testimony and it was amazing!!! After they performed their set, we went on and did 5 songs. I have to tell you I wasn't nervous a BIT...not for one second and I felt God flowing through us so much it was...well...if you've ever felt His presence you know it's not describable except for maybe "ELECTRIC"!! Not that we are a band per se, but we even had groupies too...LOL After we performed, Dave pulled me aside and handed me a check. I had no idea what it was for but evidently, I now have a full-blown ministry supported by the Youth fund...I'm beside myself with joy! I can't even describe it. So we're getting T-Shirts made soon! So excited! After that, a band called "The Rose McCoy" performed. I don't know much about them other than they are Christian and they ROCK...lol. I, along with the youth kids and some of the other kids that showed up, head banged, moshed, slam-danced, and basically acted like youth gone wild...for the Lord, of course! Just a note...old farts should not head bang...got so dizzy I about fell down and couldn't see for like 10 minutes LOL So anyway, that was over and I got kids dropped off and went home and crashed...wow. I have bruises, sore muscles, and I am fabulous!

Sunday proved productive. Jimmy and I taught Sunday School as usual on Galatians 3 this week and we had a great talk with the kids. After Sunday School, we came home and worked out on the deck. Had to organize Christmas decorations, baseball cards and comic books, and outside toys and tools so we could use our deck for pleasure!! Got a LOT accomplished, including a sunburn...a bad sunburn! Came in, took a shower and got ready for Youth Group, where my very own daughter taught the lesson...about Job! Talk about persevering and reaping rewards...I feel like Job kinda. Wouldn't dare compare myself to a man that faithful, but I've been growing spiritually and I feel like I am so blessed...more than I deserve! But back to Brie. I was just so proud. To see my girl up there teaching and showing her love for the Lord and doing a great job in the process just melted my heart. I am so blessed!! All my kids are so amazing...have I ever mentioned that?
