But now I can no longer dawdle. Our license plates are set to expire on Saturday, so I need to get to the BMV this Friday to acquire my new "In God We Trust" plate. I'd say it's about time since I've had the renewal in my hot little hands since the end of July...LOL Take a look at this article. I see Mr. Studler's point, I really do, but the difference is that Jesus COMMANDS us in Mark 16:15-18 "He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." As far as I know, that is a free thing! I don't think we should have to pay a fee to do something so small that we are commanded to do in the first place! It's not a political statement. This man's fee goes towards the purchasing of wildlife reserves and since the reserve for God is in our hearts, the fee for the In God We Trust plate would simply go to the state for basically nothing. No, the way to people's hearts is not in a fee, it's proclaiming Him to the world, which is free! This is just another reason our country is going to "hell in a hand basket"! We can allow people from all over the world to freely practice their religion in our country but the moment we practice ours in our own country, it's a violation of civil liberties? And really...is it so bad living in America that $15 is worth suing over? If you think so, maybe you should visit some of those other countries and see how many civil liberties you actually have!!
I haven't done this in a while.
