Briana has school pics today and Olivia has them tomorrow. Brie wanted her hair french braided while it was wet last night so she could sleep in it and it would be full and wavy today! Now Livi wants the same thing for hers tomorrow and Brie wants it done again tonight as well so hers will be wavy for her school dance tomorrow night!! My fingers are certainly getting a workout! Olivia's hair is soooo thick and it takes forever! But, her hair does look really nice afterwards so it will be worth it, both of theirs looks nice afterwards. A little soreness in the fingers is nothing compared to what I had to endure as a kid for my school pictures. My mom is a beautician, errr, cosmetologist, so MY hair had to be PERFECT, but I am very tender-headed and my mom is kind of a tyrant. So, from the time I was 5ish, I suffered, A LOT, as my hair was permed, highlighted(the old way: through one of those caps, OUUUUCCCHHHH), teased, curled, pinned up, pulled taut and so plastered down with hairspray that it wasn't going anywhere. I had buns, I had spiral curls, I had perfect bobs, I had sleek and sexy straightness, and I had the hairstyle that Julia Roberts had in her wedding in the movie "Steel Magnolias" once...which, of course, my girls are gonna have when they get married, but that's another blog for another time, many many moons from now! Yeah, I had beautiful hair growing up and mom made sure it was always perfect: PAINFULLY PERFECT!
I haven't done this in a while.
