Forgiveness At Last

It took a few months, a friend's trust, and some growing up, but Briana has finally been able to forgive one of the boys who was so awful to her the night she had her heart broken. Dirich had a lot to do with that, as did his mom. See, the night Z broke up with her, there was another boy who was writing terrible, awful things to her on the computer, which, of course is WRONG and to excuse it would be wrong, but this boy we will call "A" is just like that. Again, not an excuse and not right, but he is like that and he didn't really mean the things he said. None of us spoke to him when we were ever in company over the summer, like at the pool. Other events over the summer and the new school year have made us realize that he's not a terribly bad kid, just not raised with manners. His mother asked Becca(Dirich's mom) if she could take him home from football practices because she really didn't know anyone else and has to work and Becca and Dirich both called to ask Brie's permission. But before he was allowed to set one toe in the van, Dirich told him he was not to say one bad word about Brie or not only would he have to deal with him, he would have to deal with his mom as well. It has worked well, to the point of A even sending his apologies thru Becca, which is better than I expected. A spent some time over at Dirich's this evening and when Becca told us that she was taking A to the game tomorrow night, as well as us, Brie hedged a bit but said "oh well, it might be fun." FUN...lol. I'm thinking she has forgiven...
