Well, his team was ahead for a little while tonight, but couldn't pull it off in the end :( Joseph did manage to get a walk but was stranded at 3rd base. Just 2 more games to go now!!
There for a while I was certain Joseph was going to be a mama's boy. He really wasn't interested in sports, playing them or watching them, and he really enjoyed watching soaps with me. It seems that in just the past few months, maybe a year, he has really gotten into all things sporty and frequently gets sad when his daddy isn't home yet to be able to watch 'the game' with him. He is constantly out in the back yard throwing the ball around, batting off a tee when he doesn't have a pitcher, throwing a football, and playing games and sports at church and on the playground at school, even helping to 'invent' a kind of football game at school using a basketball...LOL
I love watching my 2 favorite guys bonding the way they have. It just brings my heart to the point of bursting, especially when I think of how close we came to not having Joseph. I always wonder what Joseph was meant for: was he meant for greatness? Was he meant to cure cancer, be the best, most respected, beloved and powerful President of the U.S., find the key to stop global warming, or is it much, much simpler? Was he spared so that he could be the best friend Erick ever had? Erick grew up with 2 sisters, his mom, and a daddy who travelled a LOT, so he didn't have much 'guy time', which, I'm sure was very significant in developing his sensitive feminine side, but not really having guys to talk to about the important things must have been hard. Sure he had some friends, but not any really close, personal friends to share all that teen angst with, nobody to really sit and watch 'the game' with. I was just so beyond happy when I was finally able to present him with a son. He certainly deserves to have his name live on. I just hope they always remain close!! I love you my men!
I haven't done this in a while.
